Track And Field Senior Salute: Kristen Adams

The University of Memphis track and field/cross country program's celebration of its 2018 senior class continues today with the third of the 23 Tigers seniors.

Tuesday's first senior salute is Kristen Adams.

Distance performer who ran in every distance event during her career
Also competed in all four cross country campaigns
Earned All-American Athletic Conference honors for cross country in 2014
Became only the third female runner in Memphis cross country history to receive all-conference accolades
Placed 13^th at the 2014 American Athletic Conference Cross Country Championships
Ran her 6k best in that championships race with a time of 21:39.0
Had three career top-10 cross country finishes, including a personal-best, second-place performance at the 2014 Rhodes College Invitational
Competed in the 2014 NCAA South Region Championships
Posted seven career top-five finishes in distance events for track and field (indoor/outdoor combined)
Won the 3000 meters in back-to-back weeks at the Missouri Tiger Invitational and LSU High Performance Meet during the 2015 indoor season
In the 2015 outdoor campaign, won the 5000 meters at Southeast Missouri's Joey Haines Invitational
A three-time American Athletic Conference All-Academic Team honoree
A Dean's List student and Tiger 3.0 Club member at the University of Memphis
Graduated from the University of Memphis May 5 with a bachelor's degree in health sciences
