Tigers to host Memphis Invitational next weekend.
JONESBORO, Ark. – University of Memphis' Mona Jaidi re-set the women's discus school record for the third time this season to highlight Saturday action for the Tigers at the Red Wolves Invitational.
Jaidi threw a school-record 174-5 (53.17m) mark on her second attempt to win the event.
The Tigers sophomore first claimed the record with her 170-8.25 (52.03m) throw at the Mar. 24 Mississippi State Bulldog Relays. She broke a 10-year-old program record with her throw. A week later at Southeast Missouri's Joey Haines Invitational, Samantha Lenton took the school record with a 172-0 (52.44m) throw. Now, three meets later, Jaidi's name stands beside the school record again.
