Colwill and Goldenstein Earn All-Conference Honors

Duo sitting atop Memphis record book
MEMPHIS – Sydney Colwill and Emily Goldenstein each earned all-conference honors from the American Athletic Conference, Wednesday. It is the first career all-conference honor for each player and gives Memphis two all-conference honorees for the first time since the league's inaugural year in 2014.
The Memphis duo just put single season records together that rank atop the Lady Tiger record book. Goldenstein's 73.45 scoring average this season is the best in Memphis history, and Colwill's 73.52 is just behind her in second place.
Goldenstein, who is awaiting a possible NCAA at-large berth as an individual competitor, also set a school record with 16 rounds under par this season and her 89 birdies in 2016-17 was just six ahead of Colwill's total, again at the top of the Memphis record book.
Goldenstein will graduate in May with a degree in Accounting. If the Missouri native does not receive an NCAA Regional slot, she will have ended her career with four straight top-six finishes, including the sixth place finish from Tuesday at The American Championships. She was a two-time AAC Player of the Week this season and will wrap her career with 108 competitive rounds played with 13 top 10 finishes in 39 career tournaments.
Colwill is earning her first career honor from the league. The junior from Arizona had seven top 20 finishes this year, including individual medalist honors at the Rainbow Wahine Invitational in December to close the fall semester calendar. She had three top five finishes this fall and her finish in a tie for ninth at The American Championships on Tuesday was her best finish of the spring.
The NCAA regional fields, including the individuals receiving at-large bids, will be announced on Wednesday, April 25.
