Kyler Trosclair Klatt Named AAC Player of the Week

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – University of Memphis senior shortstop Kyler Trosclair Klatt has been named the American Athletic Conference Player of the Week for the first time in her career as announced by the league office Monday afternoon. Trosclair Klatt helped lead Memphis to a perfect 4-0 record at the Blues City Classic.

Trosclair Klatt finished her productive weekend at the plate with a .667 batting average and a team-leading 10 hits. She finished two games with a career-high four RBIs to bring her weekend total to eight. She also scored four runs for the Tigers and ended the weekend with three-straight games of three hits.

In the final three games of the weekend, Trosclair Klatt also hit a triple in each of the games. She has brought her season total to seven which is first in the NCAA and just two shy of matching Lindsay Crowdus' single-season record of nine set in 2017.

Trosclair Klatt is the fourth Memphis player to earn the recognition since the Tigers joined The American in 2014. Crowdus was the last recipient of the award on March 27, 2017.
