PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- University of Memphis point guard Jeremiah Martin was named Monday by the American Athletic Conference to the league's weekly honor roll.
Martin led the Tigers to their first conference win, posting a career-high 28 points to go along with eight assists in a 76-67 victory over Tulsa Saturday at FedExForum.
Martin was chosen as a weekly honor roll honoree for the fourth time this season for his efforts. During the game-changing 18-3 run in the second half, Martin accounted for 17 of the Tigers' 18 points. His eight assists were a season high.
Martin had gone 9-of-34 shooting in the U of M's previous three games, but answered by going 9-of-17 to break out of his slump and lead the team.
Martin, a junior from Memphis, also was honored Dec. 11, 18 and 26 this season.
