American Athletic Conference Adjusts Date of Memphis-UCF Football Game

Game moving to Friday at 5:30 pm (CT)

PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- The American Athletic Conference football game between Memphis and UCF, originally scheduled for this Saturday, has been rescheduled to Friday, September 8, at Spectrum Stadium in Orlando, Florida.

The schedule change was made in response to the projected track of Hurricane Irma.

"With Hurricane Irma projected to make landfall in Florida as a category five storm, we have worked with the UCF administration and the American Athletic Conference, and have agreed to move the game to Friday at 6:30 p.m. (ET)/5:30 p.m. (CT)," said Director of Athletics Tom Bowen.

Friday's game will begin at 6:30 p.m. ET/5:30 p.m. CT. Television arrangements will be announced later in the week.

The rest of the American Athletic Conference schedule for the weekend remains unchanged.
