Women’s Golf Moves to Sixth at Lady Paladin

Fletcher tied for sixth through two rounds.
MEMPHIS – Women's golf fired a 291 in the second round and moved to sixth at the Lady Paladin Invitational, Saturday. Michaela Fletcher carded an even par 72 to remain in a tie for sixth overall.
Teammates Emily Goldenstein and Sydney Colwill are tied for 27th overall after Goldenstein's even par round on Saturday. Colwill carded a 73 and now stands at 149 through 36 holes.
Sophomore Abby Herrmann carded a 74 on Saturdya to move to a tie for 40th overall at 151, while Madison Thomas scored a 79 and stands in a tie for 61st overall.
After her 64 yesterday, Daytona State's Jiwon Jeon holds on to the individual lead after a one under 71 on Saturday. She still holds a six-stroke lead over a trio that included teammate Hollie Muse and the Furman duo of Haylee Hartford and Alice Chen.
Daytona State leads the team competition with a 573. Four strokes back is host Furman, followed by Middle Tennessee (583). Virginia Tech and Kennesaw State are four strokes ahead of Memphis at 587.
The final round of the event will be played on Sunday. The event will have a 9 a.m. shotgun start and Memphis players will begin their final rounds off holes four, five and six.
