Faith Myers named to UCA Invitational All-Tournament Team.

CONWAY, Ark. – For a second-straight day, University of Memphis freshman Hannah Flowers logged a match-best 10 kills to lead the Tigers to a 3-0 win over Little Rock in Saturday action at the Central Arkansas Invitational. Flowers had 13 kills against Central Arkansas Friday night.

Memphis won by scores of 25-19, 25-21 and 25-17.

The match was Tigers' third and final one in the Central Arkansas Invitational. Memphis finished with a 2-1 record in the tournament and was the UCA Invitational runner-up.

The Tigers' record now is 2-4. Little Rock also is 2-4.

Tigers Tidbits

Senior Faith Myers was named to the Central Arkansas Invitational All-Tournament Team. She had 55 assists and 24 digs in the weekend's three matches.
Freshman Hannah Flowers had 10 kills for her fourth double-figures kills performance in six matches this season. She has a team-leading 66 kills for the season.
Freshman Alyssa Kronberg logged 10 digs for her fifth double-figures digs performance in six matches this season. She leads the Tigers with 110 digs.
Sophomore Tai Bierria 11 digs vs. Little Rock Saturday. She has collected double-figures digs in four matches this season.
Redshirt sophomore Sarah Marlatt had a career-best four service aces vs. Little Rock. Marlatt also had four kills and two total blocks.

How It Happened

Overall Match
- The Tigers played another three-set match at the Central Arkansas Invitational. All three weekend matches were three-setters, and Memphis is 2-1 in three-set matches.
- Saturday's match only had six ties and four lead changes. Both were season lows for a match.
Set One (Memphis 25-19)
- Memphis jumped out to a 6-1 lead and never trailed in the opening set.
- Faith Myers accounted for four of the Tigers' first six points with three service aces and one kill.
- The Trojans pulled to within three at 7-4, but did not get closer the rest of the set.
- Memphis responded with a 13-8 spurt to take a 20-12 lead. Seven different Tigers downed a kill in the run.
- Little Rock closed the gap once again, pulling to within four at 23-19.
- The Tigers, though, wrapped up the first set with consecutive kills from Brianna Kadiku and Sarah Marlatt.
Set Two (Memphis 25-21)
- Little Rock grabbed its first lead of the match on the second set's opening serve. The Trojans increased their lead to 2-0.
- Little Rock held the lead most of the second set and held a five-point advantage at 20-15.
- Memphis answered with a 6-1 run to knot the second set at 21-all. Five Trojans errors contributed to the Tigers run.
- The Tigers finished off the second-set win with a 4-0 spurt. Two Flowers kills and one Natale Zanellato kill keyed the run.
Set Three (Memphis 25-17)
- Little Rock held early 1-0 and 2-1 leads, but Memphis responded with an 8-0 run to take a 9-2 advantage and control of the third set.
- Marlatt had two service aces in the run.
- The Trojans closed to within five at 14-9, but got no closer the rest of the way.
- Memphis wrapped up the set and match with an 11-8 run.
- Marlatt had two more service aces, and junior transfer Kelsea Bivins logged two kills in Memphis' final spurt.
- Regan Comperry secured the set and match with a kill.
