Memphis and the American Athletic Conference Announce the 2017-18 Conference Schedule

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The American Athletic Conference has released its men's basketball schedule for the 2017-18 season, which tips off for Memphis on Sunday, Dec. 31.
The conference also released the Tigers' national broadcast schedule for the season, which features 22 games on the ESPN family of networks and eight games on CBS Sports Network. Included in the non-conference TV schedule is an ESPN2 game against Louisville, and CBS Sports Network games against Alabama and LSU.
The Tigers open American Conference play against the Cincinnati Bearcats on Dec. 31 on ESPNU. With Cincinnati's home court currently under construction, that game will be played on the campus of Northern Kentucky University in Highland Heights, Kentucky. The team remains on the road for a Jan. 3 contest in Orlando, Fla., against UCF.
The Tigers host back-to-back conference games three times during the season, the first pair coming on Jan. 6 and 9. Jan. 6 brings Tulsa to FedExForum, while Tulane visits on Jan. 9. Both games are ESPNews telecasts.
A road game on Saturday, Jan. 13 sends Memphis to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to battle the Temple Owls on CBS Sports Network. Three days later on Jan. 16, the Tigers host the UConn Huskies, also on CBS Sports Network.
Saturday, Jan. 20, has the Tigers on the road at Tulsa, before returning home a week later on Jan. 27 against Cincinnati on CBS Sports Network.
Back-to-back road games come next, with Memphis playing at USF on Wednesday, Jan. 31, and at East Carolina on Saturday, Feb. 3. Both contests are ESPNews broadcasts.
On Tuesday, Feb. 6, the Tigers welcome new American Conference member Wichita State to FedExForum in a CBS Sports Network game at 8 p.m. (CT). Later that week, on Saturday, Feb. 11, the squad hosts UCF, also to be shown on CBS Sports Network.
The team will spend Valentine's Day in Dallas, facing off against the SMU Mustangs on ESPNews, and then have a Saturday, Feb. 17, game at Tulane on ESPNU.
Three of Memphis' last four games are at home, including a Thursday, Feb. 22, FedExForum battle against the Houston Cougars on the Tigers' final CBS Sports Network game of the season. The team's final road game comes on Sunday, Feb. 25, when the team travels to battle the UConn Huskies on ESPN/ESPNU.
The team has also announced its exhibition game against LeMoyne-Owen on Thursday, Nov. 2, at FedExForum.
Memphis closes the regular season with back-to-back home games. The squad hosts USF on Thursday, March 1 on ESPNews, before bringing in East Carolina on Sunday, March 4. The latter of the two games is Senior Day for Memphis' three seniors on the team – Jimario Rivers, Alex Moffatt, and Kytrel Williams.
