Luke Biasi Is Named AAC Rookie of the Week

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Freshman midfielder Luke Biasi has been named the American Athletic Conference Rookie of the Week after scoring his first collegiate goal and tallying his first collegiate assist in the victory over Missouri State Sunday afternoon. Biasi is the first Tiger recognized this season by the AAC.

Biasi's goal in the 82^nd minute was the game-tying goal against Missouri State. He then was credited with an assist on Charles Blankenship's game-winning goal in the 88^th minute, leading the Tigers to a 2-1 victory over the Bears.

Against UMKC on Friday evening, Biasi earned his first collegiate start. He has now played in 210 minutes and six contests for the Tigers. He leads the team with three points.
