"Yannik is a four-time NCAA regional qualifier and has scored at every conference championships he's competed in. Yannik became very competitive in the discus, which he had not thrown much prior to coming here. He leaves Memphis as one of the most highly-decorated throwers in program history. He's a phenomenal individual who's leaving here with undergraduate and master degrees. Yannik is very driven, very motivated. He served as a team captain, and he's been a tremendous representative of the Memphis track and field program."
