Over these two weeks, University of Memphis men's and women's track and field and cross country are celebrating the program's 11 seniors with a salute to each.

"Alex has done a phenomenal job in the 800 meters throughout his career. This year, he's battled a couple of different injuries. Alex is a warrior, and he's fought with all of his heart on the track for us. He is a great person to have as a part of our program."

- Middle distance performer that primarily ran in the 800 meters
- Appeared in all eight American Athletic Conference Championships in his career (four indoor/four outdoor)
- Best finish in the 800 meters at an American Athletic Conference Championships meet was fifth place at the 2016 league outdoor meet (1:51.47)
- Top relay finish at an American Athletic Conference Championships was as a member of the 2016 Tigers indoor 4x400 meter relay that was runner-up (won silver) in the event
- Member of the 2016 indoor 4x400 meter relay that set the school record (3:13.55) at the league championships
- For career, had 19 top-three performances in middle distance and relays
- Top indoor 800 meters finish was first at the 2015 Commodore Invitational (1:54.79)
- Best outdoor 800 meters performances were back-to-back first-place finishes at the Auburn War Eagle Invitational (1:51.53) and Memphis Invitational (1:51.72) in 2015
- Had two outdoor 4x400 meter relay first-place finishes at the 2015 Auburn War Eagle Invitational (3:18.03) and 2016 Vanderbilt Black and Gold Invitational (3:12.97)
- Set his outdoor personal-best time in the 800 meters in the 2016 American Athletic Conference Championships preliminaries (1:50.86)
- His overall and indoor personal-best time in the 800 meters came at the 2016 American Athletic Conference Championships preliminaries (1:49.34)
- Received a 2016-17 American Athletic Conference Institution Scholar-Athlete scholarship
- Two-time American Athletic Conference All-Academic Team selection (2014-15, 2015-16)
- A 2015-16 U.S. Track and Field/Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic honoree
