Christian Novak Named To American Weekly Honor Roll

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – University of Memphis softball pitcher Christian Novak has been named to the American Athletic Conference Weekly Honor Roll for her performance this past week.

Novak finished the week with a 2-1 record and a 0.57 ERA which included a three-hit shutout victory over Tulsa on Saturday afternoon. She finished the week with three complete games and the win over first-place Tulsa was her first shutout of the season. Memphis' victory over the Golden Hurricane snapped a 10-game winning streak.

In addition to her low ERA, Novak held her opponents to just a .169 batting average this week and she finished with 18 strikeouts.

This is just the first time that Novak has been named to the Weekly Honor Roll and second time in her career she has been recognized by the conference as she was The American Pitcher of the Week on May 2, 2016.
