Women’s Golf Finishes Ninth at American Championships

PALM COAST, FLA. – The Memphis women's golf team carded its best round of the tournament on Tuesday, a 293, and finished ninth at the American Athletic Conference Championship with a 915 (+51). UCF won the team championship with an 860 (-4), while SMU and Houston tied for second with an 863 (-1).

Michaela Fletcher finished tied for 26^th overall at 226 with a third round 75 on Tuesday.

Teammates Madison Thomas and Emily Goldenstein tied for 36^th overall at 230. Thomas finished her tournament with a one-over 73 in the third round, while Goldenstein carded a 74, her best round of the tournament, to finish a stroke ahead of teammate Leighann Cabush. Cabush shaved 10 strokes off her second round score, carding a 71.

Sydney Colwill rounded out the Lady Tiger entries with a 75, also her best round of the tournament, finishing 44^th overall at 234.
