Tigers to Take on Field at Maxwell Intercollegiate

EDMOND, Okla. - Memphis will look to continue its forward momentum from the final rounds at the Old Waverly Collegiate over the previous weekend, as the team travels to face off at The Maxwell, a unique team-style tournament where the entire Memphis team tees off as a group. The field is one of the strongest the Tigers will face all season including No. 2 ranked Oklahoma State and No. 3 ranked Baylor.

HISTORY AT THE EVENT
Memphis has played in this event once before, when the team came to Oklahoma a season ago. Last season the Tigers finished 10 strokes out of the lead, taking fifth place overall in the field of 11 with a two-round, rain-shortened score of 557.
STEADY AS HE GOES
Memphis sophomore Chase Harris has put up the same three-round total (228) in four of his five rounds this season, with his only non-228 round coming at the Mountaineer Intercollegiate on October 10-11.
LAST TIME OUT
A two-over 290 on the final day helped propel Memphis to a 13th-place finish at the Old Waverly Collegiate, hosted by Mississippi State at the Old Waverly Golf Club in West Point, Mississippi.
On the par-72, 7,088-yard course, Memphis carded a 290 on the final round, and a 588 for the rain-shortened two-round event, which tied with Southeastern Louisiana and Southern Miss for 13th place overall. Rice finished four strokes ahead of the Tigers, with McNeese State (583), South Alabama (581), and Kansas State (579) each finishing within 10 strokes of the Tigers.
