Anki Wind Named Player of the Week

MEMPHIS – Anki Wind was named the American Athletic Conference women's tennis player of the week on Tuesday. Wind grabbed wins at one singles and two doubles in a 2-0 week for Memphis, who picked up wins in Murfreesboro against Middle Tennessee and VCU.
With the wins, Memphis improves to 10-5 on the season and has won seven of their last eight matches. The Tigers will play their final home match of the season on Saturday, hosting North Texas in a 10 a.m. That match will be senior day for Marta Morga and Gabrielle Paul.
Admission to that match is free and the men's team will host #38 ranked SMU at 1 p.m. following the women's non-conference match. After the home weekend, Memphis will play one road weekend in the Cincinnati area, facing Xavier next Friday and American Athletic Conference foe Cincinnati, Saturday, before participating in the American Athletic Conference Championships, April 19-22nd in Orlando, Florida.
