About Memphis (5-4)
- Memphis has used this four-match home stand to build a two-match winning streak heading in to Wednesday's doubleheader. The Tigers beat Jackson State and Southern Illinois by identical 6-1 scores earlier in this home stand.

- The junior won a super tiebreak for her first win at one singles against Southern Illinois and is now 5-3 in dual season play and 13-8 overall.
- Freshman Katherine Cao is the other Lady Tiger at 14 wins already this season. Cao is 6-1 at five singles and has won three straight matches, the longest streak on the roster.
- Seniors Gabrielle Paul and Marta Morga will have just one home match left after Wednesday's match and are looking to close their Memphis careers in style. Paul's win at three singles against SIU sealed the team win and pushed her to 3-3 on the year at three and to 6-13 overall. Morga is back to 8-8 on the year and is 3-3 at four singles having dropped just one game in a 6-1, 6-0 win in the SIU victory.
- The last two matches in this winning streak have also seen the Memphis doubles lineups shuffled. Katherine Cao and Paul are now 2-0 at one doubles while Morga has teamed with Hanna Sohn at three doubles, where they are 2-0 and Josephine Cao and Wind have played at two, where they are 1-1.
About Lamar (6-3)
