MEMPHIS – The University of Memphis women's tennis team (4-4) will host Southern Illinois (4-6), Sunday, at 10 a.m. at The Racquet Club of Memphis. The match will be the second in the Mid-South for SIU, who will play at Arkansas State Saturday before playing the Lady Tigers on Sunday.

About Memphis (4-4)

Memphis snapped a four-match losing streak in its last outing that included three matches away from Memphis against SEC opponents and one match on the road at a Big 10 foe.
Freshman Katherine Cao has Memphis' longest winning streak heading in to the Sunday morning match-up, at two matches. She is now 5-1 on the year at five singles and is 13-5 overall in her first collegiate campaign.
Hanna Sohn improved her mark to 12-8 on the year and 4-3 at two singles with a win in the match against Jackson State.
The Sunday match is part of a four-match home streak for Memphis. The Lady Tigers will host a non-conference double header Wednesday against Lamar and Missouri State.

About SIU (4-6)

Xiwei Cai leads SIU with an overall record of 11-9 and with a 6-0 mark at two singles; she played one singles against Louisville in a 4-3 loss, falling 6-3, 6-3
Polina Dozortseva is 9-3 overall on the year and 4-2 in dual season play; she's been playing at five and six in the lineup
Ana Sofia Cordero has the team's longest winning streak, three matches. She won her last match in a super tiebreaker, 12-10
This is the 43^rd meeting between Memphis and SIU. The Lady Tigers lead the overall series 23-19, including the last two meetings in 2012 and 2013. Memphis won the last meeting in Memphis, 7-0, between the two teams.
