Elmore Earns Second Weekly Honor Roll Nod In As Many Weeks

Brea Elmore scored 28 points this week with 13 assists
MEMPHIS, Tenn. – In back-to-back weeks, junior guard Brea Elmore has been named to the American Athletic Conference Weekly Honor Roll for her play against SMU and No. 20 USF. Elmore scored a combined 28 points and helped lead the Tigers to a 62-57 upset victory over USF Sunday evening.
The win over No. 20 USF evened the season series against the Bulls and improved Memphis to 11-12 overall.Â

Elmore was the only player for Memphis this week to score in double-figures in both games. Against SMU, she scored 11 and in the win over USF, she added 17. With threes in both contests, Elmore has now extended her streak with a made three-pointer to 15 games.

The Stone Mountain, Ga. native also recorded a career-high seven assists against SMU while backing that up with six assists in Sunday's win. Elmore also pulled down six rebounds for the Tigers against USF.

Elmore leads the team during conference play with 14.3 points per game and 3.2 assists per game. Elmore has also tallied 16 steals and six blocks in the last 10 games.
