Women’s Tennis Facing #19 Ole Miss Saturday in Oxford

Memphis playing its third match in four contests against an SEC foe.
MEMPHIS – The University of Memphis women's tennis team has already faced two nationally-ranked teams from the SEC in the early part of the 2017 spring season and will add a third to the schedule with a match at #19 ranked Ole Miss, Saturday. Ole Miss (8-2) will be the third SEC opponent in four outings for the Memphis women's tennis program (3-3).
About Memphis
In their last outing, the Tigers almost upended host Minnesota, falling 4-3 in a third set to decide the match. After Hanna Sohn missed the match against Missouri in the first day in Minnesota, she returned to the lineup to get a win at two singles against Minnesota. She and freshman Josephine Cao are 3-1 at two doubles heading in to the Saturday contest.
About Ole Miss
Ole Miss will be using Saturday's match to wrap-up its non-conference schedule. The Rebels have won two in a row in non-conference play and will be playing just their second home match of the spring. The Rebels have qualified for eight straight NCAA tournaments and are one of five ranked opponents on the Memphis schedule this spring.
