Sophomore catcher led the Tigers to a 1-1 record at DeMarini Desert Classic
MEMPHIS, Tenn. – With a 2-for-4 effort from the plate and a team-leading three RBI, University of Memphis sophomore catcher Regan Hadley has been named to the American Athletic Conference Weekly Honor Roll for the first time this season Monday afternoon.
Â
This is the second time in her career she has been recognized by the conference after earning a nod on March 14, 2016. Hadley is the third Tiger this season to be honored by the conference.
Â
Hadley hit her first home run of the season in the 8-0 victory over Utah State while driving in three runs. She also recorded a hit in both games and drew one walk for the Tigers.
Â
The weekend was cut short for Memphis due to rain in the Las Vegas area. Memphis finished with a 1-1 record after falling to Boise State by way of a walk-off home run in the bottom of the seventh inning Friday afternoon. Â
Â
Memphis remains on the road this upcoming weekend with four games at the FAU Tournament. First pitch against Arkansas in Boca Raton, Fla. is set for 12:30 p.m. CT Saturday afternoon. The Tigers will play Arkansas once, Kentucky twice, and FAU once at the tournament.
