Creighton Earns Third Weekly Honor Roll Nod

Senior forward records back-to-back double-doubles in wins before the break
MEMPHIS, Tenn. – University of Memphis women's basketball player Cheyenne Creighton has earned another nod to the American Athletic Conference Weekly Honor Roll as announced by the conference Tuesday morning. Creighton recorded back-to-back double-doubles in the two victories over Jackson State and Grambling State.

Creighton's consecutive double-double streak is now up to five-straight, a career-high. She has eight this season, which also matches her career-high set during her junior campaign.

Against Jackson State, Creighton put up 19 points and 13 rebounds to go along with a career-high four blocks. Then, against Grambling State, Creighton scored 18 points and matched her career-high with 14 rebounds. She also recorded two steals in each game this week.

Creighton continues to lead the team in scoring with 15.5 points per game and 9.3 rebounds per contest. She currently is 56 points shy of reaching the 1,000-point milestone at Memphis.

The Tigers will hit the road this Sunday to open conference play against No. 1 UConn. Tip-off against the Huskies is slated for 12:30 p.m. CT and can be heard on the airwaves at 91.7 FM WUMR.
