Elmore scored a team-high 21 points in the 71-60 win over Vanderbilt Saturday
MEMPHIS, Tenn. – University of Memphis senior guard Brea Elmore has been named to the American Athletic Conference Weekly Honor Roll after leading the Tigers with a team-high 21 points in the 71-60 win over Vanderbilt Saturday night. This is the first time this season Elmore has been recognized by the conference for her efforts.
Â
The Memphis victory Saturday night marked the first-ever win on the road at Vanderbilt and the second-straight win over the Commodores. In 2016, the Tigers defeated the Commodores at the Elma Roane Fieldhouse to snap an almost 30-year skid against the SEC foe.
Â
Elmore went 7-for-14 from the floor with three made three-pointers in the victory. She now has three 20-plus point performances on her 2017-18 resume and seven in her career. She was one of four Tigers to score in double-digits in the victory.
Â
Memphis is now at home for two straight before enjoying a 10-day break over the Holiday. The Tigers will first take on Jackson State Tuesday evening at 6 p.m. The game can be heard on the airwaves at 91.7 FM WUMR and a stream is available at www.gotigersgo.com/watch.
