Sydney Kingston Earns AAC Weekly Honor Roll Nod

Kingston helped anchor the defense that produced its third-straight shutout
MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Senior defender Sydney Kingston has been named to the American Athletic Conference Weekly Honor Roll as announced by the conference office Monday morning.

In 110 minutes played in the double-overtime draw at Tulsa, Kingston helped anchor the Memphis defense and led it to its third-straight shutout to end the regular season. Kingston and the Tiger defense allowed just seven Tulsa shots for the entire match and just one in the first half. In all this season, Memphis has eight total shutouts.

This is the first recognition this season for Kingston. She has started and played in all 18 matches for the Tigers and has scored one goal on seven shots.

Memphis earned the No. 4 seed in the upcoming conference tournament and will take on No. 5 UConn in the quarterfinal round. Kickoff against the Huskies is slated for 6 p.m. CT on the campus of UCF.
