Women’s Golf Seventh Thru 36 Holes

Emily Goldenstein scores a hole-in-one on 12.
MEMPHIS – The number 50 ranked women's golf team is currently seventh through 36 holes of the University of Louisville Cardinal Cup.
Memphis shaved four strokes off its first round 300 with a 296 in the second round and stands six strokes behind Wisconsin with a 596. Host Louisville was the lone team to shoot under par and leads the field with a 573, 12 strokes ahead of second place Kent State.
Senior Emily Goldenstein carded a hole-in-one in the second round on the 172-yard 12th hole. With the hole-in-one in her pocket, Goldenstein fired a 74 and a 72 and currently stands tied for 10th at 146 (+2).
Teammate Sydney Colwill fired a 68 in the second round, the second-lowest round of the day, to move to a tie for 19th overall with a 147 (+3). Only individual leader Lauren Hartlage of Louisville carded a lower round, firing a 65 to push her score down to a 134 (-10).
Michaela Fletcher is tied for 32nd following a 151 (73-78). Teammate Madison Thomas is three strokes back at 154 (74-80) and Abby Herrmann is tied for 69th after a day one 160 (82-78).
Memphis will be paired with players from Toledo and Louisville's B entry and their shot gun tee times for Sunday's final round. Tee times will begin at 9:15 am and live scoring will be available on golfstat.com.
