Brea Elmore Earns First Weekly Honor Roll Mention

Elmore led the Tigers with 22 points in win over UCF
MEMPHIS, Tenn. – For the first time in her career, University of Memphis women's basketball guard Brea Elmore has been named to the American Athletic Conference Weekly Honor Roll after leading the Tigers to a 65-59 victory on UCF on the Tigers' annual Play4Kay game last Saturday.

This is the fifth Weekly Honor Roll mention for the Tigers this season and sixth overall recognition including Taylor Barnes' Rookie of the Week nod in December.

Elmore finished with 22 points, her third 20+-point performance of her career, Saturday on 6-for-13 shooting from the field, 3-for-6 from beyond the arc and 7-for-9 from the free throw line. With the Tigers down seven at the break, Elmore partnered with Taylor Williams to hit two big three-pointers in the first couple of minutes of the third quarter to ignite a 42-point second half for Memphis.

In the win over Houston, Elmore added seven points for Memphis with a pair of assists and three steals. Elmore also hit a three against the Cougars, which helped extend her streak with a made three-pointer to 13 total games. During the streak, Elmore has had four games with three, three-pointers made.

Elmore leads the Tigers in scoring during conference play with 14.4 points per game. She has hit almost 40 percent of her three-pointers in that time and leads the Tigers at the line making 20 of her 24 attempts. She also leads the Tigers in steals during American Athletic Conference play with 14 and is second in assists with 19.
