Memphis Rifle No. 11 In National Poll

Tigers host first home match in new facility Saturday.
MURRAY, Ky. – For a second-straight week, the University of Memphis rifle squad is in the No. 11 spot of the Collegiate Rifle Coaches Association (CRCA) poll. The Tigers were No. 10 in 2017's first CRCA poll that was released Jan. 11.
In 2016-17, the Tigers have a 15-13 record against opponents ranked in the CRCA poll. Included among those 15 victories are road wins at No. 12 Army and No. 16 Navy and wins over No. 13 Ole Miss, No. 16 Akron, No. 19 UT Martin and No. 20 North Georgia.
TCU is in the No. 1 spot for a third-consecutive week in 2017. West Virginia is No. 2, followed by Murray State at No. 3, Air Force at No. 4 and Kentucky at No. 5.
All nine Great American Rifle Conference (GARC) programs are in the poll with West Virginia at No. 2, followed by No. 5 Kentucky, No. 8 Nebraska, No. 9 N.C. State, No. 11 Memphis, No. 12 Army, No. 13 Ole Miss, No. 15 Navy and No. 16 Akron.
The Tigers return to action Saturday, Jan. 28 when they host No. 8 Nebraska and No. 14 Jacksonville State. The tri-match is the first to be held at the Tigers' new on-campus home, the Memphis Rifle Facility. The new range is located in South Hall.
