Tigers Return Home To Host Cincinnati Saturday

Memphis returns home after earning its first American Athletic Conference victory against UCF
MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The University of Memphis women's basketball team returns home Saturday afternoon for a 1 p.m. game against Cincinnati at the Elma Roane Fieldhouse. The Tigers are coming off of their first conference victory of the season, a road win at UCF, and will look for their first home conference win against the Bearcats. Â

This is the 50th meeting between the Bearcats and the Tigers with Memphis owning a 35-14 advantage. The Tigers have also won the last five and six out of the last eight games against Cincinnati. At home, Memphis is 17-5 against Cincinnati with wins in the last three home games.

Brea Elmore is coming off of the best game in her career, a 25-point effort, against UCF. Elmore helped lead the Tigers to their first conference win of the season and second road win of the year. In the last eight games, Elmore is averaging 16.8 points per game and has had two, 20+-point performance in that span. She also has made at least one three-pointer in that span and has three games with three made three's. With her team-high 25 points against the Knights, it was the first time this season and second in Elmore's that she led the team in scoring.

Cheyenne Creighton continues to lead the Tigers offensively and in rebounding with 15.2 points and 7.7 rebounds per game. Along with Creighton and Elmore (13.6 ppg), Taylor Williams is averaging in double-figures with 11.2 points per game. Against UCF, Creighton recorded her 15th double-digit scoring game this year.
