Ticket sales up almost 18 percent over the same time last year.
MEMPHIS – The University of Memphis today announced that season ticket sales for the 2016 football season are almost 18 percent higher than at this same time last season.
"Memphis football is on the rise and the city has taken notice. I'd like to sincerely thank our fans for their support and passion for Tiger football," said Athletic Director Tom Bowen. "We have built a successful program and greatly enhanced the game-day experience. That combination has made Memphis football one of the very best family entertainment options in the region."
Over the past few seasons, the Tigers have added to the fan experience through unique giveaways, Tiger Walk, the addition of over 4,000 new chairbacks, Tiger Lane, pre-and post-game concerts, pyrotechnics, increased concession options and locations, new video board, updated suites, and a commitment to customer service.
Season tickets are still on sale and start at just $100 for end zone seats. There is also a selection of the newly-installed chair back seats available. The cost for a chair back seat is $250, plus a $25-$100 donation, depending on seating location. In both cases, Memphis has the most competitive pricing in the American Athletic Conference and is considered one of the best values in the country.
Memphis has seven home games this season, starting with a Labor Day weekend game on Saturday, September 3 at 6 pm against Southeast Missouri. The Tigers will also be home on Sept. 17 against Big 12 foe Kansas and on September 24th against Bowling Green. The conference home games include Temple on Thursday, October 6th on ESPN, homecoming against Tulsa on October 29th, USF on Saturday, Nov. 12th and Houston on Friday, Nov. 25th.
Tickets can be purchased online at GoTigersGoTix.com or by calling 901-678-2331.
