The University of Memphis assistant volleyball coach Kallie Noble received the Judy Sweet Award while attending an NCAA Women's Coaches Academy, a four-day long educational training session, in Denver last week.
The Judy Sweet Award recognizes two members of each academy team whose spirit and dedication to their own and to others' personal and professional success has made an impact on their peers. This award is granted via nomination by fellow classmates at each WCA program. There were two groups of approximately 24 each and Noble was voted by her peers to receive the Judy Sweet Award from her group.
"I attended the Women's Coaches Academy in Denver and it was truly amazing," Noble said. "The women that run this program are tireless supporters of women coaches around the world and really impacted my life. It was such an honor to receive this award and learn and grow from the phenomenal staff at the WCA. I would recommend this training program to all women in the coaching field or are considering it as a profession."
Judy Sweet was the first female president of the NCAA, a pioneer with a storied coaching and athletics administration career, and a tireless crusader for Title IX.
