Tigers' Jordan Wesner Competes In High Jump At NCAA Championships

EUGENE, Ore. – University of Memphis' Jordan Wesner competed in the men's high jump in third-day action at the 2016 NCAA Outdoor Championships Friday. He finished in a tie for 18th place in the event.
The University of Oregon's Hayward Field is hosting the four-day national meet that began Wednesday and concludes Saturday.
In his first NCAA Championships – indoor or outdoor – appearance, Wesner tied for 18th in the high jump with a mark of 6-10.25 (2.09m). His height of 6-10.25 was tied with 10 other high jumpers.
The Tigers freshman hit the 6-10.25 mark on his second jump attempt, and three other jumpers did the same and tied him for 18th place. Five other jumpers reached the height on their first attempt and all tied for 13th.
Friday's action wrapped up the 2015-16 Memphis track and field outdoor campaign.
