Tigers Track and Field Senior Salute: Clara Amat-Fernandez

Amat-Fernandez won the 2016 conference indoor pole vault crown.
Over the next two weeks, University of Memphis Tigers men's and women's track and field will celebrate the program's 12 seniors with a salute to each.
Today's senior salute is Clara Amat-Fernandez:

- 2016 American Athletic Conference indoor pole vault champion
- Two-time NCAA East Preliminaries qualifier in 2013 and 2015 (outdoor)
- Finished in top-three in the pole vault in 5-of-7 conference championships meets (indoor and outdoor)
- 13 indoor top-three performances, including three titles
- Vaulted a personal-best 13-10 (4.22m) in her gold-medal performance at the 2016 conference indoor meet
- 12 outdoor top-three finishes, including two first-place performances
- Three-time U.S. Track and Field/Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic Team selection (2013-15)
- Earned Dean's List and Tiger 3.0 Club recognition at Memphis
- An Exercise and Sport Science major
