Tigers Track And Field Senior Salute: Corentin Louis

Louis broke the program's 32-year-old indoor 3000 meters school record in February.
Over these two weeks (started May 6), University of Memphis Tigers men's and women's track and field will celebrate the program's 13 seniors with a salute to each.

"Corentin has been our best distance runner that past two years. He's performed well for us and has been consistent. Athletically, Corentin is gifted, and he's made an impact on this team and in this conference. He's going to be tough to replace."

Career Highlights
- Member of the Tigers men's cross country and track and field teams the past two years (2014-15, 2015-16)
- Transferred to Memphis after running at the University of Central Arkansas from 2012-14
- Set the Memphis school record in the indoor 3000 meters (8:15.50) at the 2016 Music City Challenge in mid-February
- His 3000 meters school record broke the previous mark set in 1984 (8:17.19)
- Scored team points for the Tigers in three of four American Athletic Conference Championships meets (indoor/outdoor combined) in which he competed
- Best finish at an American Athletic Conference Championships event was third in the mile at the 2015 indoor meet (4:08.85)
- Had four career top-three finishes in the indoor mile at Memphis
- Posted a personal-best 3:46.08 in the 1500 meters (outdoor) at the 2016 War Eagle Invitational
- Best 1500 meters finish while wearing the Blue and Gray was second at the 2015 Memphis Invitational
- Prior to Memphis, was a two-time All-Southland Conference performer at Central Arkansas
- Placed second in both the mile and 1500 meters at the 2015 Southland Conference indoor and outdoor championships, respectively
- Two-time NCAA South Regional competitor in cross country (2014, 2015) at Memphis; also ran in the 2013 event while at Central Arkansas
- Placed 26th at the 2015 American Athletic Conference Cross Country Championships
- Ran an 8k personal-best 24:55.3 at the league meet
- A 2015 American Athletic Conference All-Academic Team honoree
- A Dean's List and Tiger 3.0 Club student at Memphis
- An International Business major
