Tigers Track And Field Senior Salute: Carolina Carmichael

Carmichael has won four American Athletic Conference pole vault titles.
Over these two weeks (started May 6), University of Memphis Tigers men's and women's track and field will celebrate the program's 13 seniors with a salute to each.

Career Highlights
- Holds the women's track and field school records in both the indoor and outdoor pole vault
- Set the outdoor record of 14-9 (4.50m) when she won gold and placed first at the 2015 American Athletic Conference Championships in Storrs, Conn.
- Her indoor school record of 14-0.75 (4.29m) was set at the Jan. 30, 2016, Vanderbilt Invitational
- Four-time American Athletic Conference pole vault champion (one indoor, 2015; three outdoor, 2014, 2015, 2016)
- Competed in the pole vault at three NCAA Track and Field Championships (indoor, 2016; outdoor, 2014, 2015)
- Thirty-four career top-three pole vault finishes and 23 titles (indoor/outdoor combined)
- Nineteen career top-three outdoor pole vault performances, including 13 first-place finishes
- Fifteen career top-three indoor pole vault finishes, including 10 titles
- Two-time American Athletic Conference All-Academic Team selection in 2014 and 2015
- A Tiger 3.0 Club member at Memphis
- Received an NCAA Ethnic Minority and Women's Enhancement Postgraduate Scholarship for Careers in Athletics
- Invited to attend the NCAA Career in Sports Forum at the NCAA national office June 2-5, 2016
- Honored with the Best Individual Performance and Peers' Choice Student-Athlete of the Year awards at the 2016 University of Memphis Athletics Department/PAWScars ceremony in late April
- Will compete in the pole vault at the U.S. Olympic Trials in Eugene, Ore., July 1-10
- A Sport and Leisure Management major
