Women’s Golf Competing at 3M Augusta Invitational Starting Friday

MEMPHIS – The University of Memphis women's golf team will play in its second tournament of the spring when it competes in the 3M Augusta Invitational at Forest Hills Golf Club in Georgia Friday through Sunday.
Memphis will have five golfers in the event, which also includes teams from Augusta, Coastal Carolina, East Carolina, Eastern Michigan, East Tennessee State, Florida State, Furman, Georgia Southern, Illinois, Kennesaw State, Maryland, Mercer, Texas A&M, Troy and Virginia Tech. The three-day event will include 18 holes each day, starting with tee time starts on Friday off one and ten beginning at 9:30 a.m. (ET). Tee times will go off Saturday at 9:30 a.m. (ET) as well, and Sunday's shotgun start will tee off at 9 a.m. (ET).
Sydney Colwill, Andrea Cropper, Julia Gerlach, Ashleigh Whisenant and Leighann Cabush will represent Memphis at the tournament.
Colwill is coming off a top 20 finish at the spring opening Amelia Island Collegiate while Whisenant will compete on the team score in this event as finishing tied for 34th as an individual at the Amelia Island tournament.
