Dedric Lawson Named to American Conference Honor Roll

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - University of Memphis sophomore Dedric Lawson has been named to the American Athletic Conference Honor Roll roll following his performance against Incarnate Word.

Lawson scored 25 points, hitting 9-of-19 of his field goals, and 2-of-4 from long range, while also pulling down 12 rebounds and dishing out four assists.

The double-double was his 10th of the season, and 27th of his career. His is tied for the NCAA lead in double-doubles, and ranks ninth in the country in rebounds per game.

He is one of two players in the country to average 20+ points and 10+ rebounds per game. His double-double total is the ninth-best in program history, and seventh-highest among active players in the country, and the most among active sophomores.

The team returns to action on Tuesday, December 27 when the squad hosts the SMU Mustangs in an 8 p.m. tip-off at FedExForum.
