Teddy Bear Toss Announced For Southeast Missouri Game

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – On December 16, 2016 in the game against Southeast Missouri, the University of Memphis women's basketball team and the Memphis athletic department encourages fans to bring Teddy Bears or stuffed animals for the Teddy Bear Toss at the Elma Roane Fieldhouse. Admission is free for all fans who bring in a Teddy Bear or stuffed animal.

"As the holiday season approaches, Memphis Women's Basketball wishes to support the children and families at LeBonheur Children's Hospital," said head coach Melissa McFerrin. "For a child that must spend the Holidays away from home, we hope a Teddy Bear helps put a smile on their face and bring hopeful cheer to the family."

At halftime, fans will throw the Teddy Bears and stuffed animals on to the court to be collected and donated to LeBonheur Children's Hospital. The first 100 fans at Elma Roane to show up with a Teddy Bear or stuffed animal receive a custom Memphis Tigers Santa hat.

For the additional two games around the Christmas holiday, Dec. 19 vs. Louisiana Tech and Dec. 21 vs. Nicholls State, the first 100 fans through the gates at Elma Roane will receive the Memphis Tigers Santa hat.
