Women’s Golf Teeing Off in Final Fall Event Monday

Tigers battling tough field and rainy first day at inaugural event.
Day One Pairings
MEMPHIS – The University of Memphis women's golf team is taking on a tough field and apparently some possible inclement weather at the Trinity Forest Invitational Presented by Vic Salvino, starting Monday. The new event, hosted by SMU at the Trinity Forest Golf Club (Par 72, 6,236 yards), will begin at 8:30 a.m., Monday, with tee times. Play wraps Tuesday with the third round.
Memphis(#101) is one of 13 teams competing at the brand new event. Memphis will be joined in the event by Baylor (#21), Houston (#58), Kansas (#123), Kansas State (#45), Michigan (#46), Ohio State (#25), SMU (#32), Texas A&M (#22), Texas Tech (#30), Tulsa (#90), UNLV (#53) and UTSA (#78).
Michaela Fletcher, Leighann Cabush, Emily Goldenstein, Sydney Colwill and Andrea Cropper have all qualified for the event this week, and will be paired with opponents from Kansas and UTSA for the opening two rounds of the event.
With a 90 percent chance of rain and likely thunderstorms, live scoring will not be available on Monday. Weather-permitting, live scoring will be available Tuesday at www.GolfStat.com.
