Cheyenne Creighton Named To American Athletic Conference Weekly Honor Roll

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – University of Memphis forward Cheyenne Creighton has been named to the American Athletic Conference Weekly Honor Roll for her play this past week. Creighton recorded a team-high 12 points in the victory over Big 10 opponent Illinois and scored a season-high 16 points against Kansas Sunday afternoon.

This is the third time in her career that Creighton has been named to the Weekly Honor Roll. The previous two times were on Feb. 23, 2015 and Dec. 14, 2015.

Twice this season, Creighton has put up 16 points and nine rebounds in a game. With the most recent occurrence coming against Kansas on Sunday, the first this season was in the home opener against Missouri State.

Against Illinois, Creighton helped lead the team to its first victory on the road in Champaign in school history. Memphis is now riding a two-game winning streak against the Fighting Illini.

Creighton has started and played in all four games for the Tigers this season and is averaging a team-high 14.3 points per game. She is a 60 percent shooter from the field and has pulled down a team-high 7.8 rebounds per game.

Memphis hits the road this week for the Nugget Classic hosted by the University of Nevada. The Tigers will take on Arkansas on Nov. 25 and either Navy or Nevada on Nov. 26. For more information on the Memphis women's basketball team, follow us on Twitter at @MemphisWBB.
