Tigers Rifle Ranked In Nation's Top-10

Memphis is No. 10 in this week's poll.
MURRAY, Ky. – The University of Memphis rifle squad is ranked No. 10 in this week's Collegiate Rifle Coaches Association (CRCA) poll. The Tigers began the 2016-17 season ranked No. 10 in the CRCA preseason poll.
Memphis wrapped up its first competition Tuesday by winning its own Tiger Open. The Tigers defeated four top-20 opponents in the Tiger Open. Memphis also recently shot in the Ole Miss Open, but results are not yet final.
TCU is No. 1 in this week's poll following by four-time defending NCAA champion West Virginia at No. 2. Murray State is No. 3, followed by Kentucky at No. 4 and Ohio State at No. 5.
All nine Great American Rifle Conference (GARC) programs are in the poll with West Virginia at No. 2, followed by No. 4 Kentucky, No. 7 Nebraska, No. 10 Memphis, No. 11 N.C. State, No. 13 Army, No. 14 Navy, No. 15 Akron and No. 16 Ole Miss.
Memphis returns to action Oct. 9 when it travels to Annapolis, Md., to face Navy.
