Women’s Tennis Claims Two Consolation Titles at Alabama

MEMPHIS – Freshmen Katherine and Josephine Cao each won their consolation singles final on Saturday. Katherine downed Marine Cartier, 6-1 , 6-3, while Josephine downed another Alabama State opponent, Gabriele Lackova, 6-2, 6-2.

Hanna Sohn, Anki Wind and Clara Keuhn all added singles wins to wrap up the tournament. Sohn downed Georgia Tech's 6-3, 6-1, while Wind came back from a 6-4 first set loss to win the second and third, 7-5, 6-4. Keuhn battled through a first set tiebreak, then swept the second set from Brankica Orlovic, 6-0, in the second set.

Memphis will wrap up its fall slate at the Louisville Hidden Duals, Nov. 4-6.
