Men's Golf Closes Action at Quail Valley Collegiate

VERO BEACH, Fla. - The University of Memphis men's golf program completed play at the Quail Valley Collegiate on Tuesday afternoon.
Memphis carded a final-round score of 298, and 881 for the tournament, placing 15th overall in the field. West Virginia (876), Notre Dame (878), and Indiana (879) all finished just ahead of the Tigers in the strong field.
JC Campbell carded a team-best one-over 73 in the final round, finishing the three rounds with a 220 on the par-72, 7,350-yard course.
Campbell's total was second overall on the tournament for Memphis, as teammate Sydney Chung shot a 219 over the three rounds, including a final-round 75. Chung placed in a tie for 45th, while Campbell tied for 48th.
Kevin Lee and Camden Backel each carded a 75 on the final day, and had matching 226's for the three rounds, tied for 67th. Nick Giles, who shot a team-low 67 in the second round, shot a 76 for the final, and his 222 was third-best overall for the team.
The Tigers turn back around and travel to Kiawah Island South Carolina on October 29 and 30 to compete in the Kiawah Classic hosted by Charleston Southern University.
