Tigers senior had double-doubles in both wins last weekend.
PROVIDENCE, R.I. – University of Memphis senior Catlin Lilly has been named to the American Athletic Conference Volleyball Weekly Honor Roll, the league office announced Monday. It is Lilly's third weekly honor roll recognition of her career, as she earned the accolade twice in 2015.
It is the second-straight week and the third time this season a Tigers player has been named to the league's honor roll. Senior Summer Morgan received the honor last week (Oct. 17), and senior Michaella Moss earned the recognition Sept. 5.
This past weekend, Lilly helped lead Memphis to consecutive conference victories over Houston 3-0 and Tulane 3-2. Overall, the Tigers are on a three-match win streak.
Lilly recorded double-double performances in both matches, extending her double-doubles streak to four straight. She has six double-doubles this season.
The New Albany, Ind., native had 29 kills, 33 digs and only one reception error in the two matches versus Houston and Tulane. In the win over the Cougars Oct. 21, Lilly posted 15 kills and a career-high 21 digs. Her previous career high in digs was 17 against Little Rock in 2015.
Lilly had 14 kills and 12 digs in the Tigers' marathon five-set win over Tulane Oct. 23.
In the American Athletic Conference statistical leaders for league matches only, Lilly is ninth in kills per set at 2.95 (112 total).
Memphis heads back out on the road this weekend for American Athletic Conference action at Temple and Connecticut. The Tigers play the Owls Friday, Oct. 28 at 6 p.m. (CT) and the Huskies Sunday, Oct. 30 at 11 a.m. (CT).
