Women’s Golf Fifth Through Two Rounds at FIU

Two Lady Tigers in the top 15 through 36 holes.
MEMPHIS – The University of Memphis women's golf team is fifth through two rounds at the 39th Annual Pat Bradley tournament hosted by FIU after a second round 296, Monday. The Lady Tigers are currently three strokes behind a two-way time between Southern Miss and Toledo for third in the overall standings. Host FIU and Western Kentucky are tied another three strokes ahead of that at 583 heading in to the final round, Tuesday.
Michaela Fletcher posted the low round for Memphis on Monday, carding a 71 to move to a tie for 14th overall at 146. Emily Goldenstein is one stroke ahead of Fletcher in the standings after a second round 74 for a 145 (+1) through 36 holes.
Teammates Leighann Cabush and Sydney Colwill are tied for 25th overall at 149 (+5) after Tuesday's play. Cabush fired a 77 in her second round while Colwill shot a 74, a stroke improvement over her opening round Sunday.
Freshman Abby Herrmann also remains in the top 45 at the event. She is currently tied for 44th at 155 (+11) following a day two 78.
The University of Florida sent three golfers to the event to compete as individuals and they hold the top three spots through two rounds. Kelly Grassel followed Sunday's 70 with a 65, the low round of the day, to hold the lead at 135 (-9). Taylor Tomlinson and Samantha Wagner are tied for second at 138 (-6).
The third, and final, round of the annual event will tee off in a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. (ET) on the Cypress Links Course in Sarasota, Florida. Live scoring will be available on BirdieFire.com.
