Men’s Golf One Stroke Off Lead Following Two Rounds

MEMPHIS – Following two rounds of play at Colonial Country Club's South Course on Monday, the University of Memphis men's golf team is just one stroke off the lead at the Memphis Intercollegiate with a two-round total of 575 (287-288). The Tigers trail Arkansas State, who fired a 282 (-6) in the second round to close day one with the tournament lead.

Memphis senior Thomas Perrot and junior Lars van Meijel are both in the top 10 following the second round. Perrot trails Lipscomb's Dawson Armstrong by one stroke following an opening day 138 (68-70). He is currently tied with Arkansas State's Luis Obiols for second overall. Van Meijel is currently tied for sixth following a 142 (72-70).

Sydney Chung (T30, 148), Eithel McGowen (T38, 149) and Taylor McCullum (T38, 149) rounded out the Memphis team scores on the day. JC Campbell carded a first day 149, to find himself tied for 38^th with teammates McGowen and McCullum, while Kevin Lee is three strokes back with a T51 152. Chase Harris rounded out the Tigers' entries with a two round 156 (T66).

Harris, Lee and Campbell will tee off 10 on Tuesday morning, beginning at 9 a.m. The team scorers will tee off of one beginning at 8:15 a.m.
