MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) Shaquille Harrison scored all eight of Tulsa's points in overtime and the Golden Hurricane rallied to beat Memphis 74-72 on Saturday for a fourth straight win. Shaq Goodwin led Memphis with 17 points and added six boards, three assists and two blocked shots, but it wasn't enough.
Harrison, who finished with 23 points and five assists, hit two layups, a free throw and a 3-pointer and Tulsa led 74-69 with 31 seconds left in overtime.
Kendren Johnson hit a 3-pointer to pull Memphis within 74-72, but teammate Nick King's 3-pointer missed with four seconds left.
King's three-point attempt came after Tulsa was whistled for a five-count when it couldn't inbound the ball. On Memphis' final offensive set, King came open at the top of the key but couldn't rattle home what would have been the game-winner.
"We didn't need a three," said Memphis head coach Josh Pastner. "I didn't mind going to double-overtime. I wasn't opposed to throwing the ball inside with the way they were calling it. We designed the play and Nick was wide open.
"Nick's a guy who works on his shooting. He hasn't shot really well this year, but he's a guy I have total confidence in. I thought when he caught it that we were going to win the game."
Rashad Ray scored 18, including four 3-pointers, for Tulsa (21-7, 14-2 American Athletic Association) and James Woodard added 10.
Trailing 36-34 at halftime, Tulsa led early in the second half and fell back behind, trailing 60-51 with 7:44 to play in regulation.
Ray's three-pointer with 2:17 to play tied the game at 63-63. Trahson Burrellmade the second of two free throw atttempts with 1:19 left to give Memphis a 64-63 lead but Ray answered at the other end with a three-pointer. Burrell's layin with 23 seconds to play tied the game 66-66. Smith missed a three-pointer before the buzzer that would have given TU the win in regulation.
Johnson had 13 points, a team-high eight rebounds and had five assists. Burrell added 12.
