Avery Woodson Named to AAC Honor Roll

MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Memphis junior guard Avery Woodson was named to the American Athletic Conference Weekly Honor Roll, announced by the Conference office on Monday afternoon.
Woodson scored a season-high 16 points in Memphis' 84-48 win over IUPUI in the team's only game during the week.
The Waynesboro, Mississippi, native, hit 5-of-7 shots from the field and 4-of-6 from long range. He also went 2-of-2 from the charity stripe, while pulling down four rebounds, and adding two assists and two steals.
For the season he is averaging 8.8 points per game, and leads the team with 24 made three-point baskets. He pulls down 2.2 rebounds per game and has dished out 19 assists to go with six steals and four blocked shots.
The Tigers return to action for their 2015-16 American Athletic Conference opener against the Tulane Green Wave in a noon tip-off at FedExForum.
