Tigers Rifle Remains In Nation's Top-10

Memphis ranked in poll's top-10 eight of nine weeks.
MURRAY, Ky. – The University of Memphis rifle squad heads into its break from competition still ranked among the nation's top-10. In the final Collegiate Rifle Coaches Association (CRCA) poll of the 2015 fall semester, the Tigers are ranked No. 10.
It is the eighth time in nine weeks that Memphis finds itself among the nation's top-10. It also is the second straight-poll that the Tigers are ranked No. 10.
In the first half of the 2015-16 campaign, Memphis' highest ranking was No. 6 in the Oct. 13 poll. The Tigers made their biggest poll jump of the season Nov. 17 when they came in at No. 7 after being ranked No. 12 the previous week.
The No. 12 ranking in the Nov. 10 poll was the only time that Memphis fell outside the top-10 this season.
Three-time NCAA champion West Virginia remained No. 1 in the poll. Murray State is No. 2, followed by TCU at No. 3.
All nine Great American Rifle Conference (GARC) programs are in the fall's final poll with West Virginia at No. 1, followed by No. 7 Nebraska, No. 8 Kentucky, No. 10 Memphis, No. 12 Army, No. 13 N.C. State, No. 14 Navy, No. 15 Akron and No. 16 Ole Miss.
Memphis returns to action at Murray State's Withrow Invitational Jan. 24, 2016.
