McFerrin Radio Show Schedule Starts Saturday

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – This Saturday, Tiger Nation should tune in to NewsRadio 600WREC prior to the men's basketball pregame to catch the first edition of the Melissa McFerrin radio show.

The University of Memphis women's basketball head coach's radio show airs at 5:30 p.m. (CT) before the 6 p.m. (CT) men's basketball pregame Saturday.

On Saturday's show, McFerrin and host Jeff Brightwell, the voice of Memphis women's basketball, discuss the season's first eight games and future Tigers' contests and opponents.

Saturday's McFerrin radio show is the first of eight for the 2015-16 campaign. After this Saturday, the next show is scheduled for Jan. 2, 2016.

All shows air either before or after a Saturday men's basketball game. Show times depend on the time of the men's basketball contest. If a men's game is a morning/early afternoon encounter, the McFerrin radio show airs after the men's basketball postgame. If a men's game is a late afternoon/night contest, the McFerrin radio show is on NewsRadio WREC600 30 minutes before the start of the men's pregame.

The Tigers (4-4) are on a two-game road swing with games at Minnesota Saturday and Central Michigan Tuesday, Dec. 15. Memphis returns home for its final contest before the Christmas break on Saturday, Dec. 19 when its hosts Illinois at the Elma Roane Fieldhouse. Game time for the Dec. 19 game is 2 p.m. (CT).
