Three Tigers Earn All-Conference Honors

Sanderson, Levasseur and Gauthier receive league recognition
Three Memphis Tigers claimed spots on the American Athletic All-Conference teams, led by Valerie Sanderson who was named to the first team for a second straight season. Freshmen Marie Levasseur and Olivia Gauthier were both named to the All-Rookie team, while Levasseur was named the league's rookie of the year.
Sanderson, who has been an all-conference player all three of her seasons at Memphis, is tied for the team lead in goals (6) and assists (4). Her 16 points are the most on the team this season. Sanderson has been a consistent goal scorer for Memphis throughout her career with 36 goals in 58 career starts. She started her career with 17 goals her freshman season before pouring in 13 more last season.
Levasseur has also scored six goals this year and shares the team lead with Sanderson. The all-rookie team member was also named to the league's all-conference second team. She scored a pair of game-winning goals, against Houston and Cincinnati.
Gauthier has been a rock in the middle of the field for Memphis this season. Starting every match, she has been asked to play in the midfield and defense at times. Handling all set pieces for the Tigers, she has three assists to her name.
